cvadvice.net review and discounts

CV know-how met me with some sort of the blog giving resume writing advice. They also can provide you with quite a big range of career services, including resume and letter writing, social media profiles, personal statements, interview coaching etc. The site is UK-based, so it might be not very helpful if you’re from the US. Site’s design is quite plain and easy to understand.

Price policy

The approximate prices are available right on the front page. CV writing is £120, 5 letters are £60, and LinkedIn completion is worth £99. Both personal statement and interview coaching are £99. So, if the price matters for you, their prices are quite affordable. My employed history was kind of a mess; I’ve changed a plenty of job and if I mention all of them I would have to make a resume three or four pages. So I definitely needed a professional to help me sort out things.

Order details

In addition to the above services they offered package deals. I ordered Bronze package with CV and letters to save and paid £149. Then I proceeded to checkout and placed an order. I was asked to submit my old resume or to fill in a questionnaire. I uploaded my old CV and waited for someone to get in touch with me, but the writer messaged me only the next day and asked some extra questions. He asked me about jobs related to my current Sales field and then started compiling a resume for me.

Quality of support and writing

Some of the resume websites (like Cv Resume Writers) offer 24/7 support. Here, however, this option was not available: you can only get in touch via phone in certain hours or email. Returning back to my package – I received in in 8 days and the writer asked to review it and make amendments. I was disappointed as the writer mentioned non-related jobs too. The cover letter didn’t explain why I changed jobs so often, and I thought this wouldn’t have been appealing for an employer.

Summary

Although I asked the writer about minor corrections, he didn’t change a lot. Please understand me correctly – speaking about quality of writing, I have nothing to complain about. However, the writer completely lacked flexibility to show me in an attractive light. He simply listed what I did in the past. As the writer didn’t manage with marketing me properly, I won’t give them a high rating. A friend of mine got such a resume Here and she was satisfied. Maybe I just picked the wrong service?
