ExecutiveResume met me with a strictly professional design without excessive pictures or animation. The site has a good layout and a plenty of articles explaining the significance of quality self-marketing tools on an executive level. However, these articles were too long and I really missed helpful information as I came to a resume writing service to get my resume written, not to have an evening read.
Price policy
I really missed resume prices. I went to the Services page, but there was description of the services once again and any single word about prices. They only asked to call them to find out the prices. As it was the evening, I had to wait until the morning to call them and ask. I was answered that my resume plus cover letter would cost $749.
Details of order
I emailed them my current resume and job ad sample. In reply, they emailed me a questionnaire to complete, and I spent almost an hour on it. When I finally sent it over, I was informed that I would receive a completed package in a week. I also had a kind of short consultation with the resume writer – it was short because he stated that everything was pretty clear from my CV and questionnaire. I still had a job, so I was ok with waiting for a week.
Quality of support and writing
Site support is conducted via phone and email. I didn’t keep in touch with them much during the process. However, I called them once when I realized I forgot to include some of my certifications in a resume and sent them over via email. I needed to clarify if they received it. However, the person on the phone wasn’t very polite which I think was not acceptable for the company of such a high level.
Conclusion
After I reviewed my documents, I could describe them as ‘simply good’. To be honest, I didn’t see anything special that the other writers couldn’t do. And this is why I’m not sure if I can recommend you these guys – while the quality is just okay, the process is a real pain in the neck and you have to wait a lot. For instance, Perfect Resume service has much more convenient process of ordering, and they are cheaper. I’m sure there are better companies around.
